Social Media Specialist

Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate social media expert to join our growing Marketing team to manage the strategy and content for Invaluable’s social media channels, as well as those for our sister web property, AuctionZip.  In this role, you will work with the Senior Manager of Content and Social Media to deliver social media strategies and campaigns, as well as create digital content with a focus on art, collectibles and antiques, on a daily basis with the dual objective of fostering engagement and channel growth, as well as driving traffic to the Invaluable and AuctionZip websites.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute strategic planning for all social media channels for both Invaluable and AuctionZip
  • Implement strategic campaigns and develop daily content designed to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to Invaluable and AuctionZip
  • Maintain a social media editorial calendar at a strategic level that aligns with the rest of the Marketing team’s objectives
  • Monitor social media channels for comments, questions and issues and work with the Customer Care team to manage responses
  • Identify social influencers and manage engagement with this group
  • Manage all social media reporting and analytics
  • Stay current on new social media channels, tools, and platforms

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Art History or other related field; Art History background is preferred
  • 2-3 years of work experience in social media or digital marketing with demonstrated success
  • Experience managing large social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn and more
  • Strong understanding of social media tools including Hootsuite, Buffer, Google Analytics, Facebook Power Editor and more
  • Competency with Photoshop, Canva or other photo editing services
  • An understanding of social media best practices and current trends in the digital space
  • Outstanding written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple projects at once
  • Proactive, positive, strong work ethic
